“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes did not appreciate some comments made by talk show host Wendy Williams on her show yesterday. The subject of conversation was Nene’s Birkin bag, retailing at about $7,000, which she had an artist decorate with a bunch of her colorful catch phrases, literally:

Wendy called Nene’s decorations “un-original” on the show, due to her following the lead of Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian, which the reality star did not approve of one bit.
Nene took to her blog today to attack Wendy with this response:Wendy I am sure people think that I’ve done something to you, maybe we had a beef or I slept with your man but none of that is true! I’ve actually only been nice to you! I gave you a beautiful black $3,200 Celine Phantom Bag to celebrate your 500th show but you haven’t spoken of that! But what you have chosen to do is constantly speak negative of me and lie on me! What you need to do is stop spewing hate! When it comes to gossip you are the lowest of the low! I know you hate because I turned down the chance to come on your Talk Show and I am sure you’re scared I will take your place. (I know you have heard! Ummhmm wink wink) BE SCARED! I have a clothing line on HSN coming out in a few days and I know it must be hard for a black woman to support another black woman but you should try it sometime. PS: My Birkin is being turned into a work of art to raise money for a worthy charity something you fail to mention on your show! I don’t have one Birkin I have five now run tell that WIG.
Nene sure does love a good read, but this is ridiculous. First of all, the bag does look stupid. I’ve seen very expensive bags and even fur coats get decorated and still look very stylish and artistic, but Nene’s bag looks like a kindergarten project. That being said, I don’t know what makes Nene think that a blog post and calling Wendy “Wendell” on Twitter will get any kind of reaction from her. Wendy has been attacked by the likes of Chris Brown, Evelyn Lozada (who REALLY went in on her AND her husband), and a host of other celebrities throughout her entire career. Ever since she’s been on television, she has never responded on-camera to any negative reactions from celebrities to her unfiltered opinions. It’s great that Nene’s bag will eventually profit charity, but that still doesn’t make the bag look any better. I didn’t find Wendy’s comments that offensive, especially because she gets paid to say what she honestly thinks.
Furthermore, who on the planet Earth has heard that Nene might replace Wendy on her own talk show? That was a reach, Ms. Leakes, even for a fabulous, VERY rich woman.
