British model Edie Campbell and her family were tapped for Lanvin‘s very special fall 2014 campaign. This marks the 125th anniversary of the French fashion house, hence the campaign’s dedication to the family values of its founder. Jeanne Lanvin originally started designing to make clothes for her daughter and her skills eventually created a full womenswear brand.
Campbell’s family was definitely not chosen at random for this amazing honor. Although the young beauty has been a sensation since she was discovered by the legendary Mario Testino at age 15, fashion is sort of in her blood. Her mother, Sophie Hicks, is a former stylist and fashion editor who now works in architecture. Sophie’s mother, Joan Hicks, was a model in the 1950s who worked with renowned English fashion photographer Norman Parkinson. Their interesting family dynamic was even the subject of a profile for W magazine back in 2011.
Shot by Tim Walker, the shoot features Edie along with her parents, her brother and sister, and her grandparents. She even managed to get her boyfriend and her sister’s boyfriend into the campaign! It doesn’t hurt to date a supermodel or even her sister, I guess! As a whole, the family and the campaign definitely give me a royal family vibe. Despite a very natural, earthy theme, they exude luxury very well (especially that one fellow in the white fur). You can check out more photos and a video of Lanvin’s commemorative campaign below:
