Vanity Fair released their highly anticipated 2014 International Best Dressed list on Wednesday, revealing the past year’s style standouts in their September issue. For this year’s “Who’s Who” in fashion, the magazine divided the list into seven categories: Women, Men, Couples, Originals, Professionals, Editors’ Picks, and Hall of Fame.
In the elite female group, actresses Cate Blanchett, Lupita Nyong’o, Emmy Rossum, and Emma Watson were all included. There was also a mix of European royals, humanitarians, and fashion executives who were highlighted for classic styles. There was also a great male presence on this year’ list. English actors Idris Elba and Benedict Cumberbatch represented a mature, sophisticated year in style, while NFL star Victor Cruz and singer Pharrell brought chic street style culture into the list. Other popular males who made the list included: Neil Patrick Harris, artist Jeff Koons, and New York Ranger goalie Henrik Lundqvist.
Hair salon tycoon Frédéric Fekkai and his wife were among the couples chosen as well as Vogue contributing editor Lauren Santo Domingo and her husband. The Hall of Fame category is dedicated to the Duchess of Cambridge and, of course, Karl Lagerfeld.
