Are you infamous for breaking your sunglasses? Isn’t it one of the worst feelings in the world to find an expensive pair of shades brutally snapped into two worthless pieces? I think so, but Italia Independent is trying to prevent that from happening.
The lifestyle product group sells I-Ultra Sunglasses, Wayfarer-style shades made from rubber (yes, rubber).
Despite the seemingly low quality of rubber sunglasses, they are promoted for being able to float in water and obviously twist and bend without breaking. However, don’t lower your standards just yet — these shades are sold in upscale retailers Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys! They can also be found in Intermix, Scoop and for $167 on the Italia Independent website.They seem very convenient for a beach trip or a vacation, but I can’t imagine myself wearing rubber sunglasses. Somehow, I don’t think my friends would make much sense of it either.
